Ensure that all production systems equipment and controls are operated in a safe and efficient manner.
Good diagnostic skills are required to troubleshoot problems. CROs are also required to plan work carefully, communicate effectively with their colleagues, and use information systems both as a source of data and to record what has happened.
Networks with:
Offshore Operations Supervisor, Offshore Shift Supervisor, OIMs, Safety Department, Technicians on same and other shifts, and Contract staff and Vendor Representatives.
Accountabilities
Ensure that export Oil and gas production targets are being achieved at the required specifications by monitoring all process parameters and adjusting the relevant parameters as and when required and also ensures Well Integrity limitations are followed.
Liaise with Process Shift Supervisor to start-up and shutdown equipment to meet Production targets.
Ensure proper recording of all relevant events, process data, changes to operating parameters, equipment data etc.
Communicate issues concerning production figures, downtime, and any other business having an impact on FPSO operations.
Monitor gas export pipeline via DCS and report significant changes to the Central Production Coordination Centre
Provide the Daily Production Report for Management.
Co-ordinate and execute well testing as per the proposed Test program
Monitor and provide production Data to other disciplines.
Working knowledge of Maintenance schedules, pipeline activities, regulatory requirements.
Liaise with outside Operators starting up and stopping plant units as well as individual equipment in a safe way and ensure that these are operated within the design limits.
Prior to any job execution, ensure that all equipment is safe to work on and that equipment isolation is in accordance with the stipulations in the Permit To Work (PTW) within area of responsibility.
Monitor equipment performance and initiate Work Requests (WR) for the appropriate maintenance discipline when necessary.
In liaison with instrument section carry out alarm and trip tests (ASD/ESD testing).
Ensure the ASD/ESD tests being performed on the target dates.
Ensuring accurate data recording and reporting of findings.
Be aware of expenditure and costs (both in manhours and materials) in order to identify opportunities for cost reductions, and bring them to supervisor’s attention in writing, giving details of scope for improvement
Maintain a daily handover log of significant events in area of responsibility and give a verbal handover to the on-coming CRO at the end of each shift to ensure safe operation and continuity
Complete a detailed trip handover document and give a verbal handover to the oncoming CRO at the end of each offshore trip.
Maintain a high level of housekeeping.
Develop Operating Procedure guides (OPG) and keep up to date.
Train, guide and motivate staff in order to ensure the safe and efficient execution of the production operations.
Communications during emergency situations as per the FPSO Emergency Procedure Guide.

Fulfil all Emergency Response duties, as required
Be fully aware of the Installation Safety Case
Always work towards a target of zero incidents for persons working within their sphere of influence.
Experience and Qualifications Required
HND or OND qualification in Process or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, VQ Level 3 Process Operations. A1 or equivalent (Assessor)
Minimum of 8 years experience in gas/oil industry at Senior operations level
Fully conversant with DCS systems.
Flexible, self motivated and dynamic personality, capable to perform in a work environment, which only provides limited resources.
Good communication skills in order to supervise a multinational work force.
Good command of the English language, written as well as verbal.
Strong leadership skills, to include coaching of National staff: - ability to delegate, and work with minimum supervision.
Primary Skills:
Minimum of 8 years experience in gas/oil industry at Senior operations level.
