Job Title: NDT Inspector
Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Purpose
Principally responsible for the implementation of all Ultrasonic Specialist (NDT) activities
Cross-checking of Company 3rd party NDT personnel & training of nominated/selected Nigerian NDT (Ultrasonic) trainees to (EN473) PCN eventual accreditation

With quality paramount to the success of Niger-dock, you will be required to demonstrate compliance to relevant company, national, and international standards to a level beyond reproach.
Transfer of skills to Nigerian colleagues
Key Responsibilities
NDT Coordinators scope will include directing and Supervising Niger-docks local inspectors/sub-contractors, Cross-checking 3rd party company’s (individuals) as and when required in a manner that achieves project quality requirements,
The Responsibilities of Senior NDT Inspector will include but are not limited to the following:
Promote and monitor safety of personnel and equipment
Read and understand the job specifications requirements, NDT internal/external procedures,
Monitor and verify that NDT works are completed as per approved procedures and meets Project Quality Group's expectations,
Report Contractor (3rd party) deviations from the approved procedures,
Participate in all JSA's, toolbox and safety meetings
Capture lessons learned during the installation and fabrication works (inspection & QA/QC)
Key Reporting Requirements:
Provide Weekly/Monthly reports to Project QA/QC Manager

QA/QC Manager
General Manager Projects
Ship Repair HSEQ Manager
All GM Managers and Heads of Departments
Client QA/QC/NDT site representatives.
Job Requirements
Minimum of 10/15 years of experience within NDE Oil & gas, which includes experience in Supervision of NON expatriate Nationals
Should be having minimum 8/10 years of experience in handling similar role
commitment to high standards of safety and safeguarding the environment
A demonstrable ability to work in a highly technical environment, in multidisciplinary teams and to tight deadlines.
The ability to provide clear, concise and accurate technical reports,
Experienced in the production of technical justifications.
Relevant NDE Knowledge with a minimum PCN/CSWIP (VI) Certification
An individual certified to PCN/ASNT EN 473 Level 2 (3.1, 3.2 & 3.8/3.9) who is able to work without supervision and is qualified to perform inspections / interpretations in accordance with established or recognised techniques. He will also be able to determine optimum test parameters, evaluate, interpret and report results and supervise Nigerian trainee operators
Able to demonstrate and be familiar with the following standards AWS D1.1 / ASME specifications
Experience in ISO standard processes and requirements
Good communication and inter-personal skills with ability to communicate well with other departments
Good client liaison skills
Culturally aware and adept at operating in a multi-cultural environment
High level of integrity and ethical behaviour – sets a good example
Performance/delivery orientated
Technical Qualifications or Certifications (Oil & Gas)
PCN EN 473 Certification UT - 3.1,3.2 with 3.8,3.9
PCN EN 473 Certification RI Light & dense material additional
Additional PCN EN 473 Certification would be an advantage
Considerable experience covering the methodology and specialist NDT (ultrasonic) Techniques
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and common E-mail systems
