Job Description

• We seek an experienced PHP / Laravel Developer to join our dynamic team. As a PHP / Laravel Developer,
• you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality web applications using the Laravel framework.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, design and implement solutions, and ensure the smooth operation of our web applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using the Laravel framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and translate project requirements into technical solutions.
• Design and implement efficient, scalable, and secure code for web applications.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in web applications and provide timely resolutions.
• Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in PHP and Laravel development, and suggest improvements to enhance application performance and usability.
• Maintain documentation of code and project tasks and contribute to technical specifications.
• Participate in agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications

• HND or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a PHP / Laravel Developer, with at least 2 years of experience.
• Demonstrable portfolio of web applications developed using PHP and Laravel framework.
• Strong understanding of web application security best practices.
• Familiarity with Linux environment and server administration.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in PHP and Laravel development is a plus.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge and experience in PHP web development.
• Proficient in Laravel framework and its ecosystem.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
• Experience with relational databases like MySQL and ORM (Object Relational Mapping) frameworks like Eloquent.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React library .
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Salary
N150,000 - N250,000 / month.
