Job Title: Nutrition and Health Programme Manager
Location: Maiduguri, Borno

Reporting to: BHA Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Nutrition and Health HOD, support the development of strategies addressing the problems linked to poor health and malnutrition in the Northeast region;
Monitoring community health and nutrition activities and ensure proper linkage and referral with the primary health care services supported by the project;
Manage the assigned Porridge Mum research in order to meet the project objectives within budget and the allotted time frame and report promptly any operational concerns;
Lead Porridge Mum study and creation of training modules for all stakeholders involved in the project to build the capacity of everyone involved in the project;
Ensure Nutrition and Health team and volunteers gather accurate anthropometric data;
Assist the team to plan capacity-building activities for community health volunteers and care-groups;
Monitoring the budget and targets achieved with reference to the project proposal, and making any necessary adjustments in consultation with the Finance Manager in the base and the Area Coordinator;
Developing a framework for communication with local representatives (regular meetings, identification of key local actors and development of collaboration with them) in order to facilitate harmonious and productive relations;
Adhering to the terms of agreements signed off with the health and nutrition sectors and partners working in the same field and referring to them regularly to ensure that collaboration follows the lines intended;
Ensuring that the relationship established with partners respects the principles and values of the ACF partnership policy (currently being developed: trust, respect, common purpose, complementarity, transparency, mutual dependency and shared learning...);
Ensure project data bases are up to date;
Prepares and share for technical review of monthly activity progress report (APR) both qualitative and quantitative using ACF standard APR templates validated by Nutrition and Health HoD/DHoD and MEAL team, this should also integrate all indicators to be reported to donors;
Finalize the monthly activities reports presented to the State and LGA and Nutrition and Health sectors including 5W matrix;
Contribute to project donor reporting in his/her project component;
Regularly report and coordinate with line manager regarding challenges, and issues faced in the field for timely and appropriate decision-making.
Position Requirements
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health or other relevant qualifications with experience in Public Health and CMAM programming;
Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions;
Prepared to live and work in an uncertain security environment;
Three years relevant work experience in a similar position;
Experience in M&E, data analysis and Nutrition research and understanding of processes involved in conducting comparative studies;
Analysis skills on large data;
More than two years of experience in the implementation of Nutrition projects with CMAM and IYCF components;
Excellent report writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office software Skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word);
Proficient use for statistical software such as EPI-INFO, SPSS is required.
