Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: Ogun

Job Description
This individual will use his knowledge of power and control systems to drive process improvements, support plant processes and networks, integrate and install capital equipment, and execute standardization initiatives within the business unit. This position requires significant knowledge or process control equipment, flow measurement, power distribution, a passion for new technology, project management skills and excellent communication skills:

• Develop proper safety and preventative maintenance procedures for low power equipment.
• Design power distribution systems DC / AC control voltage.
• Experience in Dual Turbines (Gas , diesel).
• Develop and implement supervisory level control solutions.
• Proactively identify and evaluate new technology options to further business goals.
• Lead electrical controls related projects to improve productivity.
• Remotely support plant machine controls and plant networks (Multi-site responsibility).
• Work effectively across all levels of the plant organization, individually and with cross functional Team.
• Support project engineers in developing electrical systems and controls.
• Maintain and improve environmental data acquisition system.
• Mentor and train maintenance employees.
• Electrical ARC Furnace DC reline for the hardware upgrade of the PLC automation system, automation field interfaces.
• Process control engineering is a must.
• Programming and design knowledge needed in integrate AB PLCs, ABB.

Knowledge & Experience of High/Medium voltage power distribution:

• Cable Lay.
• Cable terminal Installation.
• Transformers Installation.
• Medium & High Panels - installation and controlling.

Relay Programing:

• Ability to prepare and deliver presentations regarding project results.
• Experience and Knowledge of Earthen systems , Thunder arrestor systems.
• Experience Synchronize between generator and grid.
• Experience in SVC preparation , installation & controlling.
• Strong process improvement background preferred.
• Working knowledge of furnace combustion preferred.
• HMI / SCADA platform knowledge and programming capability.
• Must have proven experience in HMI, or SCADA logic.
• Any extra duties & responsibilities required from his supervisor & management.

Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7-10 years direct experience in related area.
• Computer proficient with Microsoft based programs. SAP/ PM, SCADA, HMI or any other systems.
• English language proficiency.
• Steel Melt Shop previous experience.

Specific Experiences Desired

• Proven experience working with heavy presses.
• Earthen systems, Thunder arrestor systems, Synchronize.
• Proven experience on SVC.
• Knowledge & Experience of High/Medium voltage power distribution.
• Experience in Dual Turbines.
• Proven experience with electric arc furnaces.
• Proven experience with overhead cranes.
• Working knowledge of CAD systems.
• Proven experience with transformers.
• Proven experience working with in-house maintenance & engineering staffs.
• Proven project management experience.
• Strong process improvement background preferred.
