Job Description

• We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as the Lead, Creators & Content. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for managing the co-creation model, acquiring external content, and ensuring seamless collaboration with both creators and co-creators.
• This position requires a strategic thinker who can navigate the diverse landscape of content creation, from talk shows to feature films.

Responsibilities
Content Acquisition:

• Identify and evaluate potential content creators and partners for collaboration.
• Source compelling shows, both in-studio and external, that align with Popcentral's content strategy.
• Onboard shows, creators, and co-creators, ensuring a smooth integration into Popcentral's content ecosystem.

Relationship Management:

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external content creators and partners.
• Act as the main point of contact for co-creators and creators, addressing concerns, discussing feedback, and ensuring a positive collaboration experience.
• Interface and sell the platform to attract high-quality content at panel discussions, industry engagements, and other relevant events.

Production Coordination

• Collaborate with internal production teams to align schedules, resources, and timelines.
• Oversee the production of in-studio and external content, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Monitor show health, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise during production.

Content Strategy:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with Popcentral's brand identity.
• Write show formats, proposals, and presentations to communicate content concepts effectively to internal stakeholders and external partners.

Representation:

• Represent Popcentral at industry events, seminars, and discussions related to content creation.
• Articulate Popcentral's content vision and standards, fostering partnerships and collaborations within the entertainment industry.

Show Health and Feedback:

• Monitor the health of shows and discuss feedback with creators and co-creators.
• Collaborate with internal creators' teams to ensure alignment and continuous improvement of Popcentral's content offerings.

Requirements

• Proven experience in content acquisition, production coordination, and partnership management.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of the entertainment industry, particularly in the Nigerian and African contexts.
• Creative mindset with the ability to conceptualise and articulate content ideas effectively.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Adept at representing a brand at industry events, building relationships with content creators, and selling the platform.
