Job Description
Business Advisory: Support the delivery of the organisation's strategic objectives, through the provision of expert advisory services to key internal stakeholders (i.e. Board of Directors, Executive Management and Department Heads) on leveraging on business technology to drive the achievement of business outcomes.
IT Strategy: Responsible for determining the information technology needs of the business, designing the organization’s IT strategy in alignment with its’s strategic direction, and operational requirements gathered, towards the optimal delivery of its expected short and long-term business outcomes.
IT Governance: Oversees the organization’s approach to the use of information, digital services, and associated technology. The Position Holder is responsible for defining levels of service and service quality which meet current and future business requirements; developing policies and practices for conformance with mandatory legislation and regulations; drives transparent decision-making in justifying IT investments, with an appropriate balance between stakeholder benefits, opportunities, costs and risks.
Strategic Initiatives: Responsible for driving the development and implementation of strategic initiatives that sustain / improve the organization’s competitive advantage through its operations function through the innovation / improvement of platforms, operating procedures, controls, and overall service delivery.
Business Support: Look to provide best-in-practice solutions to business goals, regulatory changes, operational procedures, and controls while supporting changing business needs.
Development of Enterprise Architecture: Support the organization’s achievement of its strategic goals, through the application of a comprehensive approach towards conducting enterprise analysis, design, planning and implementation, towards improving its overall effectiveness, efficiency, agility and durability.
IT Procurement Management: Responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement of business technology (hardware and software) and allied services, from determining technology fit, to selecting vendors, defining Service Level Agreements for vendors, and processing payments. The Position Holder is also expected to establish strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure sustainability of services over the long term, and explore opportunities for significant cost-benefit advantages.
IT Service Delivery: Responsible for driving the delivery of value-added quality service delivery to internal customers across the organization, through the implementation of shared IT resources and infrastructure to drive cost leadership; drive 99.9% uptime / availability of critical business applications (e.g. Mail Exchange, Bloomberg etc.) and IT infrastructure; and ensure effective resolution of customer problems and requests at root-cause levels, and in line with predefined service level agreements (SLAs).
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
MBA from an accredited university
Professional certification in Project Management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) and/or IT Service Delivery (ITIL).
Minimum of 10 years of work experience in similar role with 3 years at senior management level responsible for functional oversight
