Job Summary
We are in search of an experienced financial planning and analysis professional to join our prestigious gaming startup. This mid management position requires a candidate with a minimum of 5 years of experience covering a broad spectrum of financial expertise, regulatory compliance, treasury management and sound business acumen. As a pivotal member of our team, you will oversee the finance business partnering function, ensuring the achievement of set organizational goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with all strategic business unit (SBU) leaders to collect, understand, process and verify accounting and business-related information to craft realistic and attainable financial projections.
Prepare comprehensive, industry-specific long-term financial plans and forecasts to guide critical financial decision-making for the group.
Proactively manage business performance across the group to ensure achievement of business goals.
Be a finance business partner to all strategic business units in their projects, initiatives and activities and translate strategic goals, needs to technical/financial requirements.
Prepare financial data and analysis for all commercial projects, innovations and promotions initiatives/activities of the group.
Provide invaluable insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making processes and help identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Provide periodic analysis and improvement initiatives on customer and channel profitability and contributions to the business.
Prepare comprehensive and insightful periodic and ad hoc reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements tailored to each business team to aid management in decision making.
Conduct thorough and comprehensive assessment of potential investment opportunities and provide management with well-informed and astute recommendations regarding the judicious allocation of our capital resources.
Develop and execute financial strategies meticulously tailored to the unique dynamics of the gaming industry while aligning seamlessly with our corporate goals.
Develop comprehensive risk mitigation strategies specifically designed to safeguard the financial health of the organization, especially within the context of the gaming sector.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
ICAN (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) membership is essential.
A Master's Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field would be a significant advantage, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Previous experience in the gaming industry will be an added advantage. Candidate should be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of the nuances of the gaming industry and provide sound analysis of the industry trends both locally and internationally.
