Job Title: Legal Officer

Job Description

• The successful candidate will bring a wealth of legal expertise, with a focus on the insurance sector in Nigeria. The role involves handling a diverse range of legal matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing sound legal counsel to support the company's operations.

Responsibilities
Legal Compliance:

• Ensure the company's activities comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Stay updated on changes in legislation affecting the insurance sector.

Contract Review and Drafting:

• Review and draft various legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with external parties to protect the company's interests.

Claims Management:

• Oversee and provide legal guidance on the claims process, ensuring adherence to legal standards and company policies.

Litigation Management:

• Handle legal disputes, including liaising with external legal counsel when necessary.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations.

Policy Development:

• Contribute to the development and review of internal policies to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation.

Legal Research:

• Conduct legal research to stay informed about legal precedents and industry developments.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on research findings.

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 Net, HMO, Paid Leave etc.
