Osun State University (UMOSUN) was established by the Osun State University (Establishment) Law of 2006. The University commenced academic activities simultaneously on the permanent sites of its six campuses located in the six geo-political zones of Osun State on 22nd September. 2007. The campuses are located in Osogbo, (Main Campus), Ejigbo, Ifetedo, Ikire, Ipetu-Ijesa and Okuku.
Osun State University has the vision of becoming the biggest and the best University in Nigeria in the nearest future and has the goal of developing into a world class institution of learning, given its multi-campus nature and its rapid expansion in the short period of its existence.

Job Description
Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University and he is a Principal Officer who also serves as a member of the University Management Committee. Bursar is the head of the University Bursary.
The Bursar is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of the University financial affairs.
The Candidate
The Candidate shall be a person of high integrity and strong moral character with excellent interpersonal relations.
She/he must be able to instill confidence in others and command the loyalty and respect of people.
She/he must fully understand the complexity of a University system and must be able to effectively utilize its human resources to develop a financial system that will fully support the University aspiration to attain a world class financial status.
She/he must enjoy good physical and mental health. She he must be ICT compliant with excellent skills in the use of internet, Word (Processing, Excel and PowerPoint.
Qualifications and Experience
The Candidate must:
Possess a good Honours Degree not less than Second Class Lower division in Accounting, Economics, Financial Management or other related discipline from recognized tertiary institutions;
Be a member of professionally recognized Accounting body, and must possess professional qualifications such as ICAN, ACMA, ACA, CPA, ACCA, ANAN;
Have a minimum of fifteen (15) years congnate experience and Ten (10) years of 5 post-professional qualification experience. In addition, holding the position of Deputy Bursar in a University or Research Institute of comparable standing for a minimum of 9 five (3) years,
Not be older than 60 years as at the date 1 of this publication,
Enjoy good physical and mental health.
Terms of Appointment
Appointment is for a period of five years effective from the date of assumption of duty and on such other terms and conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment and by Council from time to time.
The salary is as applicable to similar positions in Federal Universities in Nigeria.
