Job Summary
The GM will provide leadership and strategic vision to the organization.
Will bring operational, managerial and administrative procedures, reporting structures and operation controls to the business unit.
Functions & Responsibilities
Implement business strategies, plans and procedures within the organization
Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth.
Oversee content curation, moderation and management on the platform.
Oversee content acquisition, sponsorships and partnerships.
Manage and ensure the highest professional level of service delivery.
Establish policies that promote the company`s culture and vision.
Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (HR, Finance)
Manage the business unit’s resources.
Assess and minimize risks to the company.
Set strategic goals for the Organization
Help with recruiting new staff members, when necessary, in line with the HR Policies within the organization
Negotiate agreements and contracts for the business units.
Manage the comapny`s Structure.
Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication within the business unit.
Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
Participate in expansion activities on behalf of the business unit (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)
Work with the CEO in the capital raise process, forging strategic partnerships and relationships with clients, vendors, banks, investors and all other professional business relationships.
Leading the Charge:
Leading and participating in brainstorming sessions.
Test all executions across various media.
Critic and give constructive feedback of all executions from the organization.
Review and ensure teams’ output are visually appealing, functional in the marketplace and on brand.
Stay updated on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistency in messaging per project.
Evaluating team for performance and guiding improvements.
Actively seek to resolve any concerns within your team while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior before escalating to HR.
Ensure business unit’s goals and objectives are being met by each team member in line with their individual goal and provide constructive feedback.
Motivate team members to perform at their best.
Set clear goals and communicate that information to team members effectively.
Develop and lead team building exercises in line with HR policy.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the team.
Create a supportive team environment in line with HR policy.
Empower team members with the skills they need to perform optimally working closely with HR.
Professional Requirements
Degree in Business Administration or any other relevant field
Minimum of 8 years’ relevant work experience, with at least 4 years in senior supervisory position
