Job Title: Senior Import / Export Supervisor

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Brief

• We are currently sourcing import/export officers for our client. The ideal candidate is required to organize and oversee product shipments domestically and internationally.
• Additionally, they are in charge of drafting and processing all paperwork and permits, maintaining records of all transactions, assessing product quality for import and export, and tracking shipments to ensure they arrive at their destinations on schedule.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage shipping operations, including scheduling appointments with shipping companies and filing customs paperwork.
• Keep inventory by monitoring the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse to ensure they are properly stored and accounted for.
• Negotiate contracts with manufacturers or raw material suppliers for the company's products.
• Contract negotiations with customers regarding prices, product quality, and delivery times.
• Monitor market trends to determine which products will be in demand in the future.
• Monitoring industry regulations and compliance issues related to importing and exporting goods
• Establish and maintain commercial partnerships by regularly meeting with suppliers and clients (old and new).
• Conduct audits of suppliers or business partners to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Prepare reports on revenue, inventory levels, and other metrics to help management make business decisions.

Job Requirements

• B.Com Hons and a Post Diploma.
• 5+ years work experience
• MBA in Export / Import management is an added advantage.
• Proven work experience is required in a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in Import and Export Forwarding
• Knowledge of shipping regulations and policies.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.

Remuneration
N200,000 - N250,000 Monthly (Negotiable).
