About the Role
The Head of Growth position will serve as the connection between management and the Growth (Sales) team, ensuring that growth objectives are correctly defined, effectively stated, and aggressively carried out.
You will take ownership of the entire process and make sure that the marketing and sales activities fulfill the company's business objectives by working from the top of the sales funnel to the bottom.
In order to drive prospects through the sales funnel, the job is responsible for developing and managing a team that focuses on customer acquisition and retention.
This team uses both inbound/outbound techniques and online/offline approaches.
You will continuously gather data to monitor and enhance all phases of the sales process, locating bottlenecks and boosting automation.

Be in charge of the growth, conversion, and monetization plan and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain a strong sales pipeline to enable the growth team to achieve revenue goals.
Create and manage a growth strategy for the business that addresses all phases of the sales funnel, including creating a road map for each marketing channel and sustaining steady sales activity throughout the year.
Manage and direct the growth team in order to coordinate and carry out the planned strategy, provide direction and motivation to keep the team energised and focused as well as the structure and support required to meet the team's objectives.
Lead Go-to-market and growth hacking techniques for conquering existing markets and breaking into new ones.
Create a mechanism to monitor conversion rates and assess achievement of objectives while continually seeking outProvide market insight to the management by blending data with a deep understanding of market conditions and perceptions developed through targeted interviews, usability studies, competition reviews and customer feedback.
Communicate strategies and results to the leadership team on a consistent basis.
Establish and Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and partners.
Develop and manage strategic partnerships within and outside the education sector to drive business growth.
Monitor, and analyze KPI’s and regularly present them to management to ensure activities are driving profitable growth.
Think strategically, analytically, and creatively about new ways to reach new customers and increase relevance.
Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs, and constantly identify sales and services that would appeal to new clients.
Developing ways to improve customer retention and build brand loyalty
Work with finance to manage teams’ budgets and profitability
Standardization, quality control, and process improvement of the Growth team processes.
Requirements
At least a Bachelor's Degree
3+ years work experience especially in B2B companies
Must have achieved revenue targets above N50m annually in previous roles
Hands-on experience with the use of Sales CRM
Provable ability in substantially optimize user acquisition channels, conversion funnels, and monetization
A knack for identifying initiatives that drive growth
Must have proven results-oriented approach, with a focus on getting results
Proven track record in building teams, while improving efficiency and culture
Confidence in leading with experience & intuition but validate through data-informed experimentation and user research
Experience collaborating with research, design, engineering, AI, and analytics to drive growth initiatives
Identify opportunities and roll up your sleeves to make them happen; you should not be afraid of getting your hands dirty.
