Job Summary
To provide high level strategic and administrative support to the Executive Director
To facilitate the realization of UREL’s strategic objectives by coordinating the articulation of short-, medium- and long-term business plans and objectives in line with the overall Group corporate strategy and divisions and subsidiary business strategies.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate and monitor the implementation of the short, medium- and long-term business strategy goals and objectives.
Coordinate the collation, documentation and periodic review of UREL’s corporate strategic plan and budget.
Develop and communicate UREL’s approved business planning cycles, processes, premises and assumptions.
Coordinate ongoing measurement of UREL’s performance against set targets and against competitor benchmarks in industry and report significant developments to management
Prepare periodic corporate performance/business review reports for management attention.
Validate/confirm and document management approval processes and incorporate into planning as required.
Develop a corporate performance framework for UREL and define key performance indicators.
Ensure periodic monitoring and reporting of UREL’s performance against set targets and report significant development to management.
Oversee the maintenance and update of corporate scorecard for UREL.
Act as a facilitator in Management decision making processes and ensure proper communication and implementation of Management decisions company-wide.
Define standards for the documentation of the company’s processes.
Coordinate the evaluation/monitoring and reporting of business process effectiveness.
Organize and prioritize documents for the Executive Director’s review to ensure quality control and compliance to company procedures and policies.
Develop presentations, reports, briefing papers and other relevant documents
Draft letters and reply to emails on behalf of the Executive Director.
Make travel arrangements for the Executive Director when necessary.
Ensure all logistics and documentation requirements for internal and external meetings and sessions are prepared in a timely and efficient manner.
Write minutes of meetings and produce memos for the ED’s review.
Organize and maintain the ED’s diaries, make appointments and ensure proper set up of all appointments and meetings.
Organize all aspects of the ED’s activities to ensure smooth flow of same.
Manage renewal of all professional and club memberships for the Executive Director.
Ensure all ED’s work tools are working at optimum efficiency.
Coordinate the necessary contractors and staff to resolve any malfunctions of work tools.
Competency and Skills Requirements
Candidates should possess Bachelor's Degrees with 3 - 4 years relevant work experience.
Basic knowledge and understanding of macro and micro environmental trends.
Good knowledge of the various industries of interest and an appreciation of the dynamics of emerging markets.
Excellent communication, presentation and inter-personal skills.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Good problem-solving skills.
Good project management skills.
