We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Combination Welder

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Contract

Job Responsibilities

• Ability to assemble parts by bolting and riveting
• Able to repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping and reassembling parts using cutting torch, straightening press and hand tools.
• Working with Task Leaders, program/project managers.
• Requirements (to include experience, qualifications and special skills required)
• Must have passes a background and taken a schedule Weld test.
• Will weld pipe and pipe assembly components of all kinds, sizes, and alloys, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, chrome, using GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (Stick Rod) welding procedures.
• Inspect and maintain gas equipment, including changing gauges, repairing hoses, etc.
• Weld various types of metals, generally holding tolerances within 0.005 inches
• Welds metal components together to fabricate or repair products, such as machine parts, plant equipment, storage tanks according to layouts, blueprints or work orders, using brazing and a variety of arc and gas welding equipment.

Requirements (Education / Training / Experience)

• Candidates should possess an SSCE / GCE / NECO qualification
• Must have at least 8 years of welding experience in a plant/tank Projects.
• Must be able to read blueprints, isometric drawings, piping layouts and possess experience in fabricating from the drawings.
• Must keep the work area clean at all times.
• Ability to read/work to engineering drawings, welding procedures, verbal and or written instructions.
• Ability to perform shop mathematical calculations.
• Ability to communicate well and work well with fellow employees.

Knowledge and certifications:

• Knowledge and certification on the Fundamentals of Modern Welding,
• Shielded Metal Arc Welding
• Gas Metal Arc Welding and Flux Core Arc Welding
• Special Cutting and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding Processes
• Advanced Shielded Metal Arc Welding skills.
