Job Title: Nigeria Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Field Coordinator

About the Role
We are looking for a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Field Coordinator (FC) for our Nigeria Programme.
As the MEL FC, you will contribute to the One Acre Fund objective of improving the lives of Smallholder Farmers by overseeing survey preparation and implementations across multiple locations where we operate.
You will manage 5-6 Field supervisors and report to the the MEL Lead.
This role is based in Minna, Niger state and requires frequent travels to locations within and outside Niger States covered by our operation.
Responsibilities
Contribute to survey development across multiple departments.
Ensure there is number of staffs for all planned surveys.
Prepare survey guide and facilitate the trainings of Field supervisors and enumerators on all surveys, ensuring only successful enumerators take part in the implementation of the survey.
Lead the procurement process of survey materials.
Lead the translations and back-translation of all surveys to the local languages.
Develop survey specific management tools.
Develop standard survey planning and management guides for the Field Team.
Set achievable targets are set and work plan with team members
Provide updates on survey progressto the field team and your manager
Track Indicators electronically (per project) with details on the daily activity of individual Enumerators, .and explanations provided when targets not achieved
Lead team of Job Level 3 Supervisors who are successful at reaching their team's target while maintaining high levels of data quality.
Engage with the Data Coordinator and FSs on survey targets, data check errors, and other Data Quality related issues.
Conduct field visits up to 3-4 days a week with FSs while surveys are ongoing.
Coach Field Supervisors on how to improve data quality among their enumerators.
Facilitate appropriate training and mentorship opportunities to MEL Field Team
Manage a field team of 4-5 field supervisors and 15-20 enumerators
Fulfill all Performance Management Responsibilities
Manage the inventory of all MEL team important equipment (tablet, weighing scale) and that all Enumerators comply with the indemnity clause contained in their contract in the respect and report any issues arising.

We are looking for 2 years relevant experience in field data collection and team management
1 - 2 years experience in survey preparation, survey execution, human resource management and budgeting to fill the Field Coordinator (FC) role in our Minna Office.
