Miva Open University is an education company building a new kind of university targeted at the African region. Miva is a Pan- African Distance e-Learning University that is built on a couple of beliefs: Firstly, we believe that the traditional brick and mortar approach to tertiary education is no longer a viable option in serving learners on the African continent. This approach will not provide the capacity and efficacy for the people of the region.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Adjunct Faculty Member (Department of Economics)

Location: Nigeria

Description 

• We seek highly motivated and experienced individuals to join us as adjunct faculty members with course development responsibilities and synchronous sessions once a week for 12 weeks.
• This a remote role, with some select faculty members required to be in person in Abuja once a quarter.
• In this role, you will design and develop engaging and innovative course content, ensuring alignment with learning objectives, industry, and accreditation standards.
• Additionally, you will facilitate weekly synchronous sessions, delivering dynamic and interactive lectures, engaging in discussions, and providing guidance and support to students.

Requirements

• The ideal candidates will have a strong background in the subject area and possess a Master's or Doctoral Degree in their respective fields.
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and a passion for fostering student success through effective teaching and course design.
