Job Summary

• Our client needs the services of an Economic Research Specialist to facilitate quality Economic, Agricultural, and Government related materials for the purpose of optimum policy formulation and proper planning for its clients and partner firms.

Job Description

• Conduct research on economic issues, and disseminate research findings through technical reports or scientific articles in journals.
• Study economic and statistical data in areas of specialization, such as finance, labour, or agriculture.
• Compile, analyze, and report data to explain economic phenomena and forecast market trends, applying mathematical models and statistical techniques.
• Formulate recommendations, policies, or plans to solve economic problems or interpret markets.
• Supervise research projects and students' study projects.
• Teach theories, principles, and methods of economics.
• Develop economic guidelines and standards, and prepare points of view used in forecasting trends and formulating economic policy.
• Explain the economic impact of policies on the public.
• Provide advice and consultation on economic relationships to businesses, public and private agencies, and other employers.
• Study the socioeconomic impacts of new public policies, such as proposed legislation, taxes, services, and regulations.
• Forecast production and consumption of renewable resources and supply, consumption, and depletion of non-renewable resources.
• Provide litigation support, such as writing reports for expert testimony.
• Outline estimated effects of changes in legislation or public policy, and present recommendations based on cost-benefit analyses.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master's Degree in Economics
• 2-3 years of relevant research experience with traceable research papers
• Must have carried out professional research work besides undergraduate and postgraduate Academic research purposes
• Must be a resident of Abuja

• Ability to estimatesizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
• Developing objectives and strategies
• Excellent communication skills (Written and Oral)
• Excellent documenting/recording information
• Sound use of empirical data to formulate analysis
• Creative thinking
• Strong knowledge of data interpretation
• Coordinating materials and monitoring scripts quality
• Strong sense of judgment
• Updated knowledge of Nigeria's Economic and Agricultural framework

Salary
N100,000 monthly.
