CCDRN partners with communities, philanthropists, government, and donors to provide sustainable community development services in conflict resolution, peacebuilding, livelihood, research, agriculture, health, nutrition, education, and governance.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Finance Officer (Analyst)
Location: Kaduna North, Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Executive Director
Scope of Work
The Finance Analyst will analyze financial data and create financial modeling for decision-making.
They will prepare financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
To provide accounting and book-keeping services to donors' operations and projects.
Coordinate all regulatory and statutory filings.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
Ensure accurate financial reporting.
Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials.
Identify and drive process improvements, including creating standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps.
Ensure partner'saccounts are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Ensure timely & accurate invoicing and proper archiving of financial records.
Ensure weekly accounts reconciliation for the benefit of the SMT.
Produce quarterly and annual financial statements.
Liaise with clients, auditors & tax consultants.
Track CCCCDRN'sinancial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.
Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to CCDRN.
Research and analyze financial reports and market trends.
Provide insight and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision-making.
Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings
Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software for financial purposes.
Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for CCDRN.
Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
Perform any other duty commensurate with the position.
Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree (minimum of Second Class) in Accounting, Banking, and Finance or related courses
Previous work experience in a similar role; superior mathematical skills
Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
Experience in financial reporting for non-profit organizations
Proficient user of Excel and QuickBooks, etc.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are used.
A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and management skills
Good problem-solving and independent thinking skills.
Ability to work well with senior management, colleagues, and the public.
Excellent skills in facilitation, team building, and coordination.
Ability to plan, schedule, and monitor work to meet deliverables on time.
A high degree of trustworthiness, discretion & confidentiality
Willingness to travel to any part of the country (Especially Northeast - Nigeria).
