As we scale our business we invest into technology and teams that are building and and keep monitoring and continuously optimising all operational tools and processes in the organisation.
As a Process & Business Technology Platforms manager you will build and lead a team with a fusion of technology, data, process skill set with a goal to enable our growth and products expansion.
You will work closely with operational leads to drive optimisation cycle, implement required technology and drive the costs down. You will work with technology to find the right tools and drive their implementation or development and further adoption.
This role is inherently cross-functional—with a goal to bring new capabilities and features to market and launch improve our operation and deliver on our customer promises.
Responsibilities
Build a team of business technology and process optimisation experts that will work closely with operational leads and technology team to define, build and optimise process execution platforms, supporting roll out of new products of the organisation
Monitor execution across operational processes, identify areas where intervention is required based on data, design target solutions (both technological and organisational), roadmaps and drive them amongst stakeholders including technology, operations, product management
“Design for no ops” / “Design for no human intervention” - define, measure, and analyse current state processes to determine areas for simplification, standardisation and automation
Focus teams and stakeholders on measurable results, drive efforts on bringing data-driven culture and Implement end to end tracking to ensure every process and tool has a digital footprint for data backed analysis
Act as a product manager for technology platforms, supporting process execution, define scope and priorities, explore options and make buy vs. build decisions along with technology team
Together with operations drive partnerships and outsourced serviced contributing directly into operating processes of the organisation, weight options and make decisions on in-source vs. outsource
Practice and drive “go-see” approach, working day-to-day with and within ops to practically understand oprational challenges; engage execution teams into optimisation activities; drive company-wide gemba for product and engineering to experience the front line of business
Contribute and build a “body of knowledge” for operations of the company, including tools, templates, training materials, operating procedures
Work with operational and financial teams to understand cost of processes, contributions to product unit economics, impact of investments into technology and processes on overall financial health of the organisation
Work with team to define and validate quality and customer satisfaction metrics, implement measurement and monitoring and embed them into process optimisation processes
Requirements
Understanding of process optimisation methodologies, application of the frameworks to realities of growing and changing business. Knowledge and practical experience with process management and process mining tools
Passion and skill in deep dive data analysis, hands-on work with data at source and partnering with enabling technology and BI teams to report and measure the effectiveness of the processes
Understanding user needs and insights with an ability to translate these to digital journeys and user stories, specifically to reduce or significantly optimise manual tasks.
Skilled stakeholder manager with the ability to communicate complex messages, constructively challenge and guide stakeholders
Ability to prioritise amongst ideas to maximise value
Ability to stay motivated in a fast-moving environment where priorities change and with a requirement to deliver results.Independent and self-motivated with a desire for continuous learning
