Women in the New Nigeria (WINN)is a leading women-led and women's rights non-governmental organization established in 2010 and legally incorporated in 2013, that focuses on women’s empowerment and enhancing the lives of youths. WINN has presence in 17 states in Nigeria, including FCT Abuja, and an international presence in eight (8) countries: North America (WINNA), WIN Ghana, WIN Mozambique, WIN South Africa, WIN Sierra Leone, WIN World UK, WIN Niger, WIN Cameroun. Project Background
WINN has been in partnership with CBM International, and has implemented several CBM funded project in Borno State, Nigeria. CBM has secured funding from German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO) which will be implemented by its partners WINN in Borno State.
The program aims to improve living conditions and access to inclusive humanitarian assistance for populations affected by displacement due to complex humanitarian crises (IDPs, refugees, returnees) and members of host communities. With special attention to the needs and rights of persons with disabilities, measures in the two sectors of health and protection are intended to be implemented in Borno State.
General Position Summary
The Driver will be expected to provide driving support to the organization, while adhering to standard driving regulations. He/she will be responsible for providing a safe and reliable driving service and for transporting staff to and fro. He or she will also perform office related errands as requested, and transport staff/goods to field locations as assigned.
Roles and Responsibilities
Transport staff and/or packages to and from destinations.
Perform daily vehicle checks and report maintenance needs promptly.
Maintain assigned vehicle in a clean and roadworthy state at all times.
Ensure annual renewal of vehicle documents and routine maintenance are conducted as at when due are aligned with organizational SOP.
Establishes good and considerate working relationships with all staff within and outside the organization, demonstrating respect for their own roles and responsibilities.
Be available outside standard hours in case of any emergency.
Ensure compliance with local administrative procedures required in the event of an accident.
complete the pre-trip inspection checklist on a daily basis, and submit to the Logistic Officer.
Ensure that vehicle log is completed regularly during trip and refueling of vehicle
Perform other duties as may be assigned to him/her.

Accountability:
Reports Directly to: Logistics Officer
Works Directly with: Finance, Program, MEL, and Operation Teams, partners staff, Volunteers etc.
Requirements
Education:
SSCE, Diploma or BSc with a valid driving license.
Experiences:
1-2 years’ proven driving experience.
Experience working with NGO or INGO
Knowledge of communities of intervention
Competencies:
Good navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications (GPS),
Effective time management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Languages:
Fluency in English, Hausa, Kanuri and any other local language
