Location: Benue

Job Summary

• We are looking for the right candidate to join a fast-growing poultry farm located in Makurdi, Benue State as a Farm Supervisor.
• The right candidate will have Critical reasoning and strong interpersonal skills and must have prior supervisory experience in a poultry farm or similar organization.

Job Description

• The Poultry farm supervisor will be responsible for the day to day operations of the farm and shall be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of poultry farm operations.
• In consultation with the Director, the supervisor shall prioritize tasks and decide on the necessary amount of equipment and number of workers.
• The poultry farm supervisor shall also record data and create reports on worker attendance, budget, supplies and animal growth and other matters related to the farm.
• The poultry farm supervisor assigns duties to farmworkers and ensures that they are carried out in an efficient manner; for example, duties might include feeding poultry, shipping eggs or maintaining buildings
• Other responsibilities might include training new workers, providing care to injured or ill livestock and enforcing workplace sanitation practices to prevent the spread of disease

Key Requirements

• Candidates with the education of up to (at least) HND level in Animal Production or a related field are preferred.
• 3 years of work experience.
• Previous supervisory experience in a farm setting is required
• Critical reasoning and strong interpersonal skills are key requirements for the role 
• Good computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• A strong work ethic is required.
