Job Title: Plant Manager (Sales Operations, Inventory, and Admin)
Location: Ajah, Lagos
Purpose
Sales Operations is a division within a business that is charged with ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of a company's sales and supports the business by initiating and closing all sales transactions, managing receivables, evaluating sales performance and business responsiveness, creating, evaluating, and optimizing data sets and sales applications.
Job Duties
Managing sales administration and all relevant records keeping,
Overseeing Plant Activities
Facilitating Plant Sales Activities
Coordinating with Customer Fulfilment to deliver on Online Sales efficiently
Optimizing the sales cycles, alerting HQ on restock levels,
Monitoring the purchase of new products, restocking, and optimizing the relevant relationships/services.
Creating a conducive environment in which sales can grow
Continuously building an increase in sales effectiveness
Troubleshooting, Making Decisions, and Solving Problems by analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Evaluating and using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
Developing specific processes, targets, goals, and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
Training, teaching, coaching, and developing others by identifying the developmental and educational needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills. Train and ensure the use of all tech support for process automation. Also developing formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaching or instructing others.
Consistently increase efficiency by developing strategies to reduce turnaround and service efficiency.
Tasks
Keep track of the sales and earnings generated from all sales operations
Ensure Stock Control is carried out efficiently and effectively by:
Consistently monitoring stock levels
Providing adequate oversight to prevent wastages or theft
Ensure all damaged and/or out of date equipment is removed and placed in adesignatedQuarantine area.
Ensure that all pricing of products is correct
Accurately record daily wastage and products used in store
Provide Admin oversight to the Plant including manpower management, maintaining records of stock levels, availability of merchandise, maintenance tracking, petty cash expenditure
Ensure all activities are reported in a timely fashion, in the proper formats sanctioned by Management. Develop timely daily, weekly, and sales cycle reports
Ensure consistent customer satisfaction and high-quality Customer Service by:
First Level contact and engagement with customers
Takes orders and maintain a consistently high level of customer service
Handle customer complaints in line with company policies and procedures. First Level escalation, must be prepared to solve simple problems that are beyond the scope of the supply team
Develop and maintain product knowledge, especially LPG products, including on the job research
Provide customers with product recommendations and product knowledge
Ensure effective Cash Handling by overseeing the following:
Custody and management of operation of all point of sale equipment
Ensure processing customer sales accurately and efficiently, in line with company policies and procedures
Perform till balancing as per company procedures at the start and end of each shift
Ensure that cash payments are collected from customers and change was made available, or purchases are charged to customers' ATM cards and customers are provided with receipts
Data Management: Manage and evaluate data to determine the effectiveness of a product or campaign.
Application Management: Oversee the use of various applications and platforms to produce data to optimize the corporate sales strategy
Sales Forecasting: forecast future sales by recognizing past trends
Performance Management: Identify high performances for reward in Sales Operations, and poor performances for acknowledgment and resolution.
Sales Strategy: Set strategy and future goals within the sales team.
Consistently increase efficiency by developing strategies to reduce losses, wastages, turnaround time, and service efficiency
Contribute actively to the risk register from a Finance Standpoint
Training, teaching, coaching, and developing others by identifying the developmental and educational needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills. Train and ensure the use of all tech support for process automation. Also developing formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaching or instructing others.
Develop promotion ideas to boost sales based on feedback from the Delivery and Sales teams, support monthly promotions and specials by promoting to all customers and reward customers by developing and offering Management sanctioned rewards on all eligible purchases
Ensure clear and concise communication of all internal matters. Ensure that issues raised with your supervisor, colleagues, and Head Office in a timely manner
Identify emerging trends in the local community including peak periods, customer preferences, competitors’ trends, and develop ways of using these trends to optimize sales. Also, monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems, making use of industry terms or concepts, oral or written communication techniques, sales techniques, and knowledge of metric system
Interacting with people or directly with the public, developing constructive and cooperative working relationships and maintaining them over time.
Resolving Conflicts, handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others

Job Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Experience: 1 - 3 years.
