Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited, (formerly Moody International Nigeria Limited) was established in 1996 as a partnership between Moody International Group and Nigerian investors. Review the ITP and provide assurance/control of the quality of the static and other process equipment/vessels
Inspect drawings, designs and specifications for piping, boilers and other vessels meant for the COMPANY use
Witness Procedure Qualification Test and welding procedure specification in line with API, ANSI, ASME, AWS and BS standards (as applicable).
Witness and interpret x-ray of welds, and revalidate the ultrasonic, magnetic particle, or dye penetrating tests on welds by the contractors.
Ability to read drawings, material take-off and identify materials on site. Experience with pneumatic and electrical instrumentation commonly found in oil and gas operations.
Carry out in-situ inspection and maintenance of vessels and associated piping for existing facilities and make recommendation accordingly.
Review and monitor the hydrostatic test procedure for vessels and piping work and prepare report accordingly.
Experience with hazardous area classifications and with restrictions imposed by such classifications on work practices both onshore and offshore.
Act as company representative in supervising, directing and participating in project construction, maintenance or vessel preparation for inspection.
Witness fabrication as well as installation activities and prepare inspection reports
Carry out a spot checks on site prior to shop or field fabrication and encourage a safe working environment at all time.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualification:
HND or BSc /B.Eng Degree – Metallurgy & Materials / Chemical Engineering,
Professional Experience (number of years): Minimum of Fifteen (15) years and above
Experienced as a vessel or piping inspector plus five (10) years working experience in vessel Inspection & certification.
Good knowledge or certification in API -510 (Pressure Vessel Inspector); API 570 (Piping Inspector) and API 653 (Tank Inspector)
Experience on construction and Inspection of Process Vessels/static equipment
Minimum Professional Certification(s):
Member Nigerian Society of Engineers & COREN as well as other international professional bodies,
Very conversant with API, ANSI, ASME, AWS and ASTM Standards,
Basic knowledge of work process with a company with ASME “U” & “R” Stamp effectively,
General Requirement:
A self-Started with less supervision on what to do
Experience in providing recommendation and supervision of maintenance, repair or replacement of vessels and associated piping inclusive of separators and storage vessels,
Knowledge of heat treatment and reaction of materials relating to ASME- P classification of materials
Ability to estimate quantity requirements for proper coverage from drawings and COMPANY specifications
Knowledge of proper handling, transporting and storing requirements for protective coating and related materials,
Ability to communicate well at all levels within the Company.
Ability to weld map of the vessel and analyze the entire weld history and make recommendation to proceed to next step or otherwise.
Good physical condition, requires walking, climbing, and tolerance to environmental conditions
Fluency in English and ability to communicate in equipment supplier’s language.
