Job Purpose
PROSELL is an EU-funded project currently implemented by Oxfam in Taraba State and a local partner Development Exchange Center (DEC). Oxfam is advertising the position for a Driver to be based in PROSELL office Jalingo who will be expected to drive and maintain the project vehicle. The successful candidate will:
Specific Responsibilities
Driving of Official Vehicle.
Washing and Cleaning of the Vehicle on a regular basis.
Effective management of vehicle logbook
Ensuring timely service of the project vehicle
Under the supervision of the Supply and Logistics Officer, ensures that office Generator fueling and Logbook are managed appropriately
May be assigned to keep some relevant records of the office where necessary.
Any other tasks as may be assigned by the Line manager.
Person’s Specification
Educational Qualification:
WAEC/ OND in any discipline
Experience:
A minimum of 7 years driving experience
A minimum of 3-4 years professional driving experience in a structured organisation
Knowledge of traffic rules and road cautions
Experience in fleet management
Experience with providing support services to the project team is an added advantage
Experience working with other INGOs/NGO’s is an added advantage
Skills/Abilities/Attributes:
Must have a Valid Drivers License
Good written and spoken English skills with the ability to speak the local language as an added advantage.
Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences and gender issues, as well as the commitment to equal opportunities.
Commitment to Oxfam’s safeguarding policies to ensure all people who come into contact with Oxfam are as safe as possible.
