Job Title: Accounting Services Officer
Location: Delta
Job Description
Ownership of the Financial Reporting functions by using the Accounting Software Package employed by the Firm and its Client;
Ownership of all management accounting functions, including the preparation of management accounts and reports, development and application of management performance reporting templates and measurement reports and cash flows management using the Company’s accounting package, Microsoft excel and any other suitable software;
Reviewing transactions uploaded on EML accounting software prior to their posting;
Ensuring the existence, accuracy and completeness of journal entries;
Performing appropriate review of the Company’s current chart of accounts for tax efficiency and recommendation of adjustments where necessary;
Reviewing all invoices issued and received to ensure that relevant taxes are appropriately captured;
Ensuring adequacy of support documents for transactions uploaded;
Monitoring and evaluation of the financial performance of the business;
Compiling and analysing financial data for the preparation of financial statements, management control and accounting reports etc., at agreed intervals;
Ensuring that financial information and records are maintained, safeguarded, stored and managed using available hardware and software, applications, technology and other resources in compliance with industry standards, policies and procedures;
Ensuring that all reporting deadlines are met;
Establishing, monitoring and maintaining suitable accounting control procedures;
Resolving accounting discrepancies and irregularities;
Preparation of budgets and forecasts, analysis of variances and related activities;
Developing and maintaining financial data bases;
Ensuring accurate recording and analysis of assets, liabilities, revenues and expenses;
Analysing business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues;
Analysing financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems; and
Carrying out other related task, as may be assigned by Management.
Essential Skills and Educational Requirements
Minimum of 3 years experience in preparing financial Statement and providing tax planning services
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or other Business related fields;
Critical thinking, a thirst for knowledge, confidence and strong business sense;
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), with command of English;
Excellent Information Communication Technology (“ICT”) skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word; and
Demonstration of practical knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
Candidate must reside at ASABA or must be willing to relocate
