Job Title: Warehouse Manager
Location: Lagos
Reports To: Operations Manager
Summary
You will be responsible for the maintenance of a Company’s storeroom which includes but is not limited to, stocking of operational materials and supplies, inventory control and records, purchasing, and other related duties as required.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Reviewing of documents for quality control evaluations
Meeting and managing customers, suppliers and distributors
Plans and performs work that involves ordering, receiving, inspecting, returning, unloading, shelving, packing, labelling, pricing, delivering, and maintaining a perpetual inventory of forms, office supplies, and various types of equipment.
Develop an effective stocking and inventory management that maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution of materials and equipment to curb stock loss.
Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
Keeps records to maintain inventory control, cost containment and to assure proper stock levels.
Consistently answer questions regarding procedures and resolve discrepancies regarding receipts, shipments, quality, repairs and surplus supply
Monitor and proactively take action in response to delivery needs and requests for goods.
Ensure receiving conforms to quality and quantity of stocks requested
Create stock profile and update store operation data into the inventory management software
Control material ordering by checking the indent and inform the operations manager regarding the availability of the goods
Prepare weekly pending list for the material not received against indent raised
Coordinates freight handling, equipment moving and minor repairs.
Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
Thinking both creatively and logically to resolve inventory problems
Ensuring all documents are complete and signed by the highest authority before receiving or releasing stock
Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and possible out-of-country travel may be expected.

Physical Demands

This includes ability to spend extended hours standing and traveling to different warehouses
This also includes ability to frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 lbs
Work Environment
The work environment described herein is representative of those an employee encounters while performing this job. The Warehouse manager will work at various job site locations and attend meetings at multiple agency offices
Exposure to outdoors, dust, unpleasant smells, hot and cold weather is very likely
Wearing personal protective equipment is mandatory.
