Job Title: Commercial Manager

Location: Lagos

Description

• This Commercial Manager vacancy has been identified with the responsibility to monitor and track financial, commercial and contractual objectives for the development projects and to ensure that commercial management processes are complied with.
  

Job Description

• Establish a database of estimating data that will be utilized to ensure accurate cost estimation
• Establish a contracting strategy for each project
• Develop a procurement strategy and oversee all project procurement
• Sub-contract administration and account management
• Ensure profitability targets are achieved through sound commercial management strategies and processes
• Prepares and submits contractual and insurance claims as required
• Mentoring, Coaching, Training, and Development of commercial staff
• Responsible for ensuring commercial processes are followed and managing the commercial function
• Determines and administers contractual agreements with clients, contractors, and vendors
• Builds and maintains relationships with relevant stakeholders
• Analyze legal risk at tender stage and pre-award negotiations

Preferred Experience and Education

• Degree in Quantitative Surveying or related area
• 10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management within the construction industry in Africa
• Must have worked as a Commercial Manager on large scale projects in Nigeria
• 5 years of experience in commercial process establishment and improvement, contract management, project profitability tracking, and risk management
