Caleb University, a Federal Government Licensed Private University, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the non-academic position below:

Job Title: Director of Institutional Advancement

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities
Include, but not limited to:

• Develop strategic plan for linkages, fund raising, alumni relations and take responsibility for achieving the goals of the plan
• Identify and facilitate cutting-edge institutional linkages within and outside Nigeria.
• Cultivate sources of private, public and corporate funding.
• Identify and manage a portfolio of principal and major gift prospects and coordinate solicitation strategies.
• Develop and manage activities and meetings with donors, prospects and campus groups.
• Facilitate liaison with campus and immediate communities.
• Facilitate innovative fund-raising strategies for identified groups of potential supporters.
• Monitor, analyze and report on overall fund-raising results versus goals to internal and external prospects.
• Maintain efficient database on alumni relations.
• Initiate and sustain mechanisms for a functional alumni relations based on a database of alumni.
• Support linkages, fund-raising marketing communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (postgraduate degree and other professional qualifications would be added advantage).
• At least seven years’ experience in linkages, fund-raising, and alumni relations, with a track record of achievements.
• Excellent writing, communication and organizational skills.
• Capacity to build and deploy functional alumni, linkages and fund- raising databases.
• A team player with the capacity for proactive solutions-based initiatives, but also able to drive activities individually.
• Ability to work under pressure and to offer leadership.
• Ability to think out of the box and innovate.
• Proficiency in Ms Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ready to maintain flexible work schedule and beyond working hours when necessary.
