Job Title: SPS Structures & Hardware Lead
Location: Lagos
Job Description
Manage the Company Project team dedicated to the Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems element of the Project to ensure the technical, budget and schedule objectives are met and that the responsibilities of the job description are discharged.
Review and ratify the Design Proposals from the Alliances (Design proposals include Basis of Design, Flow Diagrams, Specifications, Procedures, Calculation Notes, & MTOs).
Ensure that Design proposals from the Alliances meet the requirements and expectations of the various Exhibits in the FEED Contract.
Ensure implementation in his/her own discipline of all HSE and QC requirements and report to SPS Engineering Manager on any deviation.
Facilitate approval from Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems related documentation, consolidating comments from within SPS Team and form other Company Packages leading up to their final approval.
Participate in the engineering review of other packages design documents which have an interface to the Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems equipment
Evaluate the workload of Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems Package and identify, as necessary, additional resources or the means required to meet Contract objectives to the SPS Engineering Manager.
Liaise with Company Specialists within the various Technical departments in HQ to ensure Design proposals from the Alliances meet the requirements of the Company specifications.
Actively follow-up the respective Alliances actual progress against all planned engineering activities required for completion of the Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems equipment. Ensure that the Alliances are focused on meeting their commitments.
Initiate and manage weekly progress meetings with the various Alliances, and provide weekly and monthly reports to SPS Engineering Manager.
Review and manage the resources and organization of the Alliances, identifying that they are adequate (and competent) for achieving the discipline works.
Manage the interface with other disciplines in the Project to ensure cross-package and inter-contract compliance. Ensure that any cost and / or schedule changes to agreed designs emanating from or impacting the Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems equipment are identified. Highlight such changes, providing assistance to quantify the cost and schedule impact to the SPS Engineering Manager.
Expedite the timely disposition of Deviations/ Derogation requests as they effect the Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems.
Participate in/organize any technical or co-ordination meeting necessary to fulfill the job responsibilities.
Coordinate the Lessons Learned to be developed for the Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems.
Coordinate the preparation of the Close-out Report for the Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems.

Accountabilities:
Reports to the SPS Engineering Manager
Accountable for subsea structures & hardware engineering coordination with Alliances in a timely manner
Coordinates company engineers for structures & tie-in systems and manages interface with other packages across the Preowei project
Necessary Profile
Education: First Degree in relevant Engineering discipline. Master's Degree or an equivalent is an advantage
Qualification: 10+ years’ experience in the Engineering of Subsea Manifolds, FLETs, ILTs, Subsea Jumpers and Connection Systems, and SUTs.
To have experience in the application of industry standards and codes related to subsea hardware and systems such as API 6A & 17D, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.8, API RP-17P, API RP-17R, API RP-2A, as well as ISO,equivalent standards.
To have knowledge of the main Subsea hardware suppliers’ engineering and manufacturing processes.
Previous experience of Company / Operator Representation during similar type project execution is a distinct advantage
Mobility: placement is primarily in Lagos, Nigeria with the potential for international trips. Presence will be required at Manifold fabrication site during construction phase.
