Job Description
We are looking to hire a General Manager to oversee the management of our space and team.
Job Summary
The General Manager will act as Business operations and Development Lead in order to provide strategic oversight of the team and responsibility over physical stock & space
He/she will provide comprehensive operational and program management including program management, team management & physical & virtual stock management
H/she will also enhance executive's effectiveness by providing information management support while representing management to others.
Duties
Business Operations:
Assist in creating and maintaining operational, program, warehouse and accounting controls & procedures while ensuring they are in line with business objectives/targets
Establish the annual Operational work plan & shop sales targets, set priorities, monitor work progress and ensure results are achieved according to schedule and set standards
Provide technical leadership to the Customer Experience Department & Geek squad including regular review of roles, responsibilities and key performance indicators
Develop improved business functionality that increase profits and productivity
Alongside HR, train staff in policies and procedures and supervise their daily work
Provide strategic oversight and leadership to all PC District team members
Provide oversight during clinics, retreats, training sessions & events happening within the maker space
Prepare Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents as and when required
Maintain a satisfied level of customer service with clients both internal and external.
Properly handle client requests through responsiveness, follow-up, and escalation
Business Development:
Develop compelling marketing and business development campaign material and proposals
Aggressively sell the company’s services/products and increase number of clients (potential and existing clients)
Develop presentations and proposals for current clients and new business pitches.
Establish and maintain existing clients and potential clients relationships
Analyze and report on performance of all implemented promotions and programs
Educate clients on new technologies available to them.
Keep up with changes in client environments.
Understand all of the company’s service offerings and clearly communicates them to clients and prospective clients.
Attend trade shows, seminars, conferences and industry training programs.
Conduct customer surveys regularly and ensure service delivery is consistent and maintained at established standards.
Identify and resolve client concerns (escalate as required)
Investigate client complaints, determine source of issues and ensure corrective and preventive action is taken
Follow up to ensure corrective and preventive action is taken to solve client complaints
Promote awareness of the company via appropriate Public relations activities
Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings
Carry out any other assigned duties as and when they arise
Program Management:
Create and deploy all required program plans needed to successfully achieve any and all set/ad hoc programmatic objectives
Oversee content development for the website. This will include drafting content, interfacing with staff members to develop progress/success write-ups, sharing photos and event summaries as needed.
Write all required documentations including proposals, work plans and project plans.
Resolve stakeholder problems as needs arise.
Oversee the production of high-quality reports as and when required.
Data Management
Oversee data management including the timeliness and completeness of reporting as well as data entry.
Co-Create and Manage any online databases

Person Specification
Relevant first degree & a keen interest in Robotics, VR & IoT
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and to drive projects to timely completion
Capable of thriving in a creative, dynamic, results-oriented environment
Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once
First Degree in any discipline.
A minimum of 2 years of work experience within both the private and not for profit sectors.
