Position Summary
To lead marketing efforts supporting the total product portfolio across West Africa
Responsibilities
Deliver brand Revenue and IBA within agreed Opex budget
Strategize for the assigned portfolio and develop customer engagement initiaves
Create full year promotional plan for HCPs and channel
Forecast brand performance and track progress towards target
Work with supply chain to ensure product availability
Leads the Brand Planning process Develop portfolio forecasts: budget, Latest Estimates, as well as the year’s revenue phasing Ensure the successful identification, planning and execution of new product/new business opportunities to develop the business in line with the Upjohn strategic direction.
Ensure successful integration derived from potential acquisitions and alliances Share best practices across the cluster, and be an active participant in Marketing Team discussions to maximize growth and penetration of Upjohn assets through joint marketing initiatives Prioritise products within Thereapy Areas across all cluster markets in terms of allocating resources
Support in identifying appropriate resources investments accordingly; A&P, promotional model
Ensure appropriate marketing support
Develop operational plans for all relevant brands
Aligned with Cluster plans but specific to West Africa markets
Provide local insights and brand feedback to above-market Marketing lead and cluster LT
Ensure that programs and materials supplied are fit for purpose
Select best-fitting modules from Regional content with (minimal) adaptation/trans-creation as needed
Manage local agencies for trans-creation within guidelines and budget
Ensure excellent execution of plans in-market
Close collaboration with Commercial Leads and Field Force
Appropriate monitoring via KPIs
Cross-functional brand leadership - Field Force, KAM, Medical etc
Position Responsibilities

West Africa Brand P&L management West Africa Brand plans for all priority brands Materials to support promotion of brands
Regulatory and Medical review required by Marketing are the owner
Shared Accountability:
Prioritization of portfolio
In conjunction with Commercial Leads, Marketing Team and Cluster Lead
Op Plan in conjunction with Cluster Lead , Commercial Leads, Marketing team
Includes long range and annual forecasts
Includes A&P forecasts
Ongoing review of forecasts and adjustment of LE as required
In conjunction with Finance, Commercial Leads and Cluster Lead
Organizational Relationships
Cluster Marketing Lead Commercial Leads Health & Value Team Medical Affairs Regulatory Regional Marketing eMCM marketing GCO Marketing services, Business Analytics & Insights (BAI) Regional senior leaders
Education and Experience
Qualifications:
7-10 years of marketing, sales, BU experience Bachelor’s Degree; master degree or MBA desired Bilingual (English and French) proficiency will be an added advantage
