Job Title: Asset and Logistics Manager
Location: Lagos
Job Description
The Asset and Logistics Manager will be responsible for end to end management of company’s physical assets and logistics system (specialization in supply chain, asset management, procurement, inventory transportation, warehouses and logistics).
Analysis, improvement of methods and work processes, writing of procedures and assimilation (implementing work processes) are important success criteria.
Role holder must apply tracking processes, identify gaps, difficulties and provide useful solutions.
Key Accountabilities
Regular control and monitoring of the asset in the supply chain
Responsible for coordinating forecast requirement across all functions (Systems and other components) to prevent out-of-stock (OOS) or overstocking by effectively maintaining optimal stock levels
Responsible for tracking shipments, overseeing inventory audits and maintaining reports of purchases and pricing
Plan, coordinate and oversee physical asset audits to ensure no financial losses
Continually evaluate processes for improvement opportunities
Create processes to prevent unauthorized access to assets or facilities and implement corrective measures for gaps
Identification and treatment of ongoing malfunctions
Ensures that personnel perform duties in accordance with process, laws, regulations and role requirements
Develops goals for team members and coach them to meet goals
Makes real-time decisions
Construction including define and design of all business needs, processes, and implementation.
1st degree in Management, Business Administration or any other relevant field
A Master’s Degree in business management will be an added advantage
Greater than 10 years working in Operations or related function in a Multinational
Proven track record of delivering results in an establishment of comparable size, scope and complexity
English proficiency; preferably English as 1st language.
Relevant Experience:
Experience in projects management 1-2 Years
Experience in operating complex logistics systems
Previous experience in inventory management and fixed assets
Experience in characterizing, defining, implementing and assimilating processes in PRIORITY - purchasing, warehouses and service
Ability to translate expertise to the voice of the customer considering technological framework, which includes interaction with all systems.
Skills and Competencies:
High service capabilities
In-depth knowledge of all inventory management processes in ERP
Must be familiar with supply chain procedures
Exceptional communication skills to interact with vendors, clients and internal teams
Ability to interpret data & do analytical problem solving
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools
Good verbal, written and organizational skills
Ability to comprehend, capture as well as interpret basic logistics information
Ability to adapt to change, meet the changing demands of the work environment, delays or other unexpected demands
Motivated to succeed and provide great customer experience
Ability to work well as part of a team to exhibit objectivity and be open-minded towards the ideas and views of others, give as well as welcome feedback, contribute to building team spirit, aid others to succeed
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
