Job Details

• Finance: budgeting and forecasting, creating interim and annual financial statements, facilitating internal mergers and acquisitions, as well as dealing with analysts and investors.

Job Purpose

• To manage reporting and provide analytics that assists Business Banking in making appropriate business decisions

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Key Responsibilities
Preparation of reports that enables business banking space have better understanding of their books

• Outputs and measures:
  • Preparation of business banking Exco pack
  • Preparation of business banking client profitability report
  • Preparation of business banking budget and forecasts

Investigation of BB numbers and the factors that drive them:

• Outputs and measures:
  • Attend to queries from business banking team
  • Provide data on performance drivers for the income statement
  • Guiding the segment heads and leadership of business banking on interpretation of financial reports

Partnering with business banking team and giving guidance on the how to make the best business decisions.

• Outputs and measures:
  • Provide data required to enhance decision making
  • Attend business banking session to provide financial and non-financial information to drive business performance

Participate in budgeting process by collating financial and non-financial indicator to drive the budget:

• Outputs and measures:
  • Developing template that is easy and understandable to the business banking units for budget
  • Guide the various teams as to the preparation of the budget
  • Consolidation of various budget inputs

 Relationships:

•  Business banking
•  Provide a service to them
• Sphere of influence: Limited to their department only

Preferred Qualification and Experience
Qualification:

• First Degree in General Social Science, Finance and Accounting
• Master's Degree in Finance and Accounting
• Professional accountancy certification

Experience:

• 1-2 Years Experience in Finance - Business partnering
• 5-7 Years Experience in Business Support - Operations

Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise
Management Accounting:

• The ability to prepare financial reports of costs, cash flows, revenues and related items to inform management decision making.

Financial Acumen:

• Knowledge and understanding of costing, budgeting and finance concepts and the understanding and application of related processes and procedures.

Customer and Client Focused Innovation:

• Focusing attention and efforts on understanding customers (or customer segments) and proactively addressing different customer/client needs. Makes organisational changes or innovates when needed to address customer/client needs.

Aligning Business to Strategy:

• Understands the line-of-sight between strategy and organisational implementation. Translates the organisational strategy into specific decisions and actions to ensure the strategy implementation. Aligns resources to effectively execute against the strategic direction.

Purposeful Collaboration:

• Understands and leverages the dependencies across the organisation and the impact of own actions on the rest of the organisation to create organisation alignment for decision-making and delivery of quality outcomes.
