Job Title: Senior SAP Business Analyst/Functional Specialist

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• We are currently running an ongoing project with our partners for the United Nations and we are in need of a senior SAP Business Analyst/Functional Specialist for Nigeria.

Tasks

• Support the blueprint, build, realization, production support and continual improvement stages of the Umoja solution in specific functional areas (financial accounting, financial management, budget formulation, logistics & supply chain management, or human capital management) with emphasis on a specific set of modules and tools, as per the specific statement of work;
• Work closely with the Solution Architecture team and business analysts from other functional areas, to ensure alignment with the Organization's application architecture;
• Interact with stakeholders at various levels of the Organization, from technical teams to IT and senior business executives to business experts;
• Support the implementation of business processes in tbe specific functional area(s);
• Based on approved business requirements, work with end users and Solution Architects to develop and/or update functional specification documents for configuration as well as FRICEW objects;
• Analyse complex business problems to be solved with the SAP solution and assist end users and process experts in articulating business requirements;
• Update and review configuration documentation to ensure it meets project standards, and has effectively captured business requirements;
• Conduct knowledge transfer on the specific area of expertise. Act as a Trainer, as part of knowledge transfer, to conduct training of trainers as well develop business process experts;
• Develop, review and refine the corresponding test scripts/use cases for all phases of testing;
• Assist with executing and validating testing results, to ensure that the system is compliant with business process requirements, and supports defect resolution;
• Provide technical support in the use of methods and tools for data cleansing and migration;
• Provide support in solution cut-over planning, as well as in its deployment;
• Write and maintain process design documents, functional specifications, and business design documents for new and/or modified business requirements;
• Prepare substantive content required for the development of user documentation, learning materials, instructions, and procedures. Where required, prepares the final documentation, following established United Nations Secretariat standards, including presentations;
• Provide Tier 3 production support in the corresponding functional area of expertise;
• Supervise the work of junior business analysts, as well as performing quality assurance and providing coaching and knowledge transfer.

Required Skills

• A minimum of 5 years of SAP functional experience with select processes in a specific functional area, including analysis, specification development, configuration, testing, end user support;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Experience with test script planning, development/execution/defect resolution processes;
• Area of Expertise: SAP business analysis, supervisory skills, SAP configuration in a specific module(s) and/or product(s) as per statement of work, writing technical documentation, delivering end-user presentations.
