A Leading Furniture and Interior company located in Ogun State, is currently recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Lead Carpenter (Assembler)

Location: Ogun

Responsibilities

Prepare drawings for cabinetry, framing and other construction projects on-site
Interpret client requests and provide mock-ups for clients to approve prior to commencing work
Build cabinets, vanities, tub and shower surrounds and other projects based on demand
Frame room additions as needed for client
Install cabinets, counters and molding
Follow all code requirements for kitchens and baths in remodeling projects
Determines amount, type and availability of subassemblies supplies required for assembly.
Examines samples of assembled to make sure conformance to specifications and instructs workers in methods of correcting defects.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Reviews production schedules and confers with department head to define production priorities, availability of raw materials, equipment/ tools and personnel in the assembly process.
Examines parts during machining assembly & directs workers to change machine setup or work techniques to eliminate defects. In case of defects, reroutes for reworking.

Requirements

Minimum of OND, Trade test, Vocational Certificate in Carpentry
5 years of experience in Furniture company
Ability to read and write effectively
Ability to co-ordinate activities in the unit.
