Head of Operations at Trifed Nigeria Limited

Trifed Nigeria Limited was incorporated in1998 as a spin-off from its parent company, Genesis Worldwide Shipping (GWS), the ship owning/vessel chartering arm of the corporate group, to offer an integrated, one-stop shop to consumers in the downstream sector of the Nigerian Petroleum marketing industry.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Operations

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• Overseeing the activities in Depot, Logistics and maintenance units.
• Ensuring the product in the company’s possession meets the right specifications.
• Overall assessing of the capacity to ensure company projections are achieved.
• Managing of Stock to ensure adequate sales growth and avoidance of losses.
• Investigating of company losses if they occur.
• Interfacing with customers and regulatory bodies such as DPR.
• Developing the operations department.
• Organizing and preparing the company for inspections as well as lead the team during external audit.
• Ensuring that the maintenance team fixes / services equipment as required to prevent downtime.
• Assisting in third party discussions and negotiations where required.
• Propounding business development decisions for the overall growth of the company.
• Monitoring the certification process to ensure company certification by relevant bodies.
• Career Managing, talent and succession planning for operation staffs.
• Performing of other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Petroleum or Chemical Engineering or other related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in depot management, at least 2 of which must be in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
• HSE Certification is compulsory
• Relevant postgraduate or professional certification will be an added advantage.
• Full understanding of the global best practices and value chain functioning of the oil & gas sector.
