The Kaduna State Local Government Service Commission hereby calls for applications from qualified candidates to fill the vacant position below in the Unified Local Government Service of Kaduna State:
Job Title: Accountant - GL.08
Location: Kaduna
Duties and Responsibilities
Accounting:
- Performing Accounting/Internal Audit duties, including investigation and review of existing procedures;
- Taking charge of receipts, disbursement and accounting for Government funds in a Local Government;
- Indenting for, consulting and issuing of Treasury books and forms;
- Evaluating for loans and projects and analysing investment;
- Performing such other duties as may be assigned.
Revenue:
- Taking charge of a Unit in the Treasury and Accounts Section of a Local Government;
- Reconciliation of Internal account with the Unit of treasury Account;
- Rendering financial returns and reports as required by the Financial Memoranda;
- Supervising and training Junior Accounts staff
- Interpreting and analysing Final Accounts of Institutions in which Local Government has interest
- Performing any other related duties assigned.
Qualification
- B.Sc. Accountancy/Business Administration, Economics.
Important Notice
- Candidates must possess NYSC Discharge Certificate or Exemption Certificate or Certificate of Exclusion where applicable.
- Membership of Professional bodies would be an additional advantage.

Remuneration
Salaries, allowances and other conditions of service would be as approved by the Kaduna State Government.
