Job Title: Manager, Media and Entertainment (Video)
Location: Lagos

Core Purpose of the Job
To define the strategy and manage the Video product and services lifecycle (from inception to launch to winding down services that no longer meet consumer needs).
Analyse market data and customer insights to identify profitable opportunities, make decisions, develop the roadmap and collaborate with strategic partners to deliver world class Video service offerings that capture market share, drive optimal customer engagement and increase revenue.
Job Summary
Developing and implementing Marketing processes that are aligned to achieving all elements on the business score card.
Participate in the review of Business Processes to drive efficiency gains.
Serve the Division’s internal customers and provide solutions to improve the customer experience.
Strategic Partnerships with MTNN leadership team to drive awareness on expected behaviours and impact on non-compliance on bottom line results and company image/reputation.
Drive planned strategy for the successful delivery of MTN Group and MTNN transformation initiatives focusing on Customer centricity.
Stay abreast of technology waves and customer insights related to content, multimedia and portal services
Ensure that MTN provides the best content to its customers.
Translate customer insights into innovative concepts that achieve business objectives while providing value to customer segments
Network and build solid relationships with internal units and relevant third and develop a close working relationship with relevant information sources to provide an integrated service.
Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external suppliers.
Work with internal and external partners across disciplines and platforms to identify, evaluate, prioritise and execute opportunities in line with the product roadmap, developing new and improving existing Lifestyle features/systems as customer needs change;
Act as a product champion with the company, sharing the product vision effectively to senior stakeholders and driving agreement on product requirements and directions.
Balance and negotiate stakeholder requirements
Assist the Senior Manager Lifestyle services in effectively providing guidance to the business concerning optimal revenue-share and commercial models that ensure that value is maximized across the content value chain.
Develop partnerships report on agreed outputs as required.
Gain a deep appreciation of all products and services
Carry out and use research to accomplish business objectives
Develop initiative to increase customers usage and satisfaction via the customer management process
Develop strategies to drive customer adoption and usage of the service
Develop KPIs to track the performance of the service
Selection/shortlisting of concept to launch of innovative MTN-branded and 3rd Party content services.
Drive adoption, usage and penetration.
Manage the interaction of multiple departments within MTNN during the product development life cycle and product management process.
Assist the Senior Manager in building strategic alliance partners that will ensure that MTNN remains competitive and achieves its strategic intent.
Supply and co-ordinate resources for development of products to address existing market segment needs
Control related Content services product portfolio budget.
Drives successful launch of content, and participates in key sales situations and events for these services.
For the more technical content delivery and assigned services/projects, collaborates closely with technical design and implementation teams to communicate service delivery requirements, understands the impact that these requirements have on the architecture and design of the service, and adjusts requirements as appropriate to optimize return on engineering investment.
Oversees the creation and execution of project plans for content creation, delivery and promotion; manages issues and risks in projects, and proactively communicates to project team and management.
Continuously seek self-professional development to sharpen skills and capabilities in a versatile and evolving digital landscape.
Coach and train the team to ensure understanding of the objectives and goals of the department, awareness of set targets/requirements and regularly review their training needs.
Review performance of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with the employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules.
Identify training requirements of team members, develop program to address knowledge gaps and to enrich knowledge repository within the department.
Education
A First degree in Engineering or a related discipline
A Post-graduate diploma in Marketing, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline
Experience:
Minimum of 6 years’ experience which includes:
3 years in Product Development and Management experience in a Video service-related environment a must
Experience/ Exposure to product and service development in video services industry i.e. on demand broadcasting, OTT.
Experience in Partner Management in the video services industry and co-coordinating a number of external agencies and suppliers
Experience working in a medium to large organization and advanced Project Management
Experience in dealing with senior stakeholders within an established organisation.
