Gritwel Child Development Research and Resource Center (CDRRC) is a research based subsidiary of Gritwel group; a multinational childcare company, headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. The main objective of Gritwel CDRRC is to develop an extensive knowledgebase and wide breadth of intellectual resources on child development, through cutting edge research studies. Gritwel Child Development Research & Resource Center (CDRC)’s operations headquarters is in The Netherlands.
The internship position is for undergraduate and post graduate candidates currently undergoing studies on child development and related subjects.
Students will be exposed to practical applications of courses and theories regarding child development & education.
You will work together in a team that comprises of senior experienced educators and child development technical specialists.
The total period for the internship program is 6 months.
Excellent candidates may be further offered a full-time job employment contract to any of the Gritwel Group subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this position are categorized as below:
You will support in initiating and coordinating observational & scientific research activities on child development at Gritwel Earlychildhood Schools (GES).
Propose relevant research topics on child development, based on practical observations from day-to-day activities and challenges facing the child development industry. You will Propose at least one research topic every month with a fully written professional academic abstract
Initiate strategy and methodology to collect research data that relates o child development, from daily operations from assigned Earlychildhood centers. Typical types of research data include Children developmental milestones (height gain, head size growth, weight increase, Observational video clips on children plays and environment, cognition development etc. Our facility is equipped with advanced multi-media devices for observational studies, and research cameras to capture real-time behaviors of children. All devices are connected to a central observation booth.
You will be part of the team to prepare technical research paper / Manuscript (up to 2000 words), publishable in child development Journal
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Candidate must be an undergraduate in any Nigeria university, currently studying Child development, educational subjects, and social science courses.
Candidate must demonstrate evident long term career interests on child care, earlychildhood education etc.
Requirements and Skills:

Exceptional verbal and written skills, and ability to make presentations, and write reports
