Job Title: Lead Teacher for Earlychildhood and Primary School
Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full-time
Summary
You will report directly to the Gritwel school manager and work together in a team comprising of senior and experienced educators.
You will implement educational/development program for small individual groups of children, typically within the age category of 3months – 4years. Primary school teachers will be in care of kids of age up to 11 years. You will organize and supervise structured and unstructured plays, while ensuring safety of children. You will create a stimulating atmosphere where children can thrive and develop optimally while followed our in-house themes and curriculum.
Responsibilities
Receive children from parents at drop off.
Administer children daily routine document
Plan educational and development activities in line with class themes
Active supervision of the children’s - indoor and outdoor play/activities
Place the children down for naps and bedtime and ensuring safety of the children under care.
Together with the nutritionist, you will plan and prepare meals, and feed, the children.
Participate in annual progress report meeting with parents on the well - being of their children.
Supervise to change diapers and potty train the children
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Candidate must hold educational certificate in early childhood education or related subjects.
Candidates with other non-related educational backgrounds, but with at least 2-5 years’ experience in Earlychildhood development may also apply.
Candidate must possess a formal certificate and have a working knowledge of British EYFS curriculum or must have taken at least a 50 credit hours course on EYFS.
The normal working hours are from 7am to 4.00pm, from Monday to Friday. Occasionally training/meeting may be organized for Saturdays.
Remuneration
Monthly salary is NGN 32,000.
Holiday allowance will be paid, calculated as 1.2 % of yearly gross salary and will be paid in December.
Additional bonuses may be paid depending on your performance and the company yearly profit rating.
Bonus may vary between NGN 0 – NGN 100,000 per year.

Requirements and Skills:
Candidate must be at least 25 years of age, and authorized to work in Nigeria
Candidate must hold educational certificate in early childhood education or related subjects. Candidates with other non-related educational backgrounds, but with at least 2-5 years’ experience in Earlychildhood development may also apply.
Candidate must possess a formal certificate and have a working knowledge of British EYFS curriculum or must have taken at least a 50 credit hours course on EYFS.
Candidate must have a working knowledge and practical experience with the Nigeria Pre-school curriculum.
Candidate must possess a formal certificate and working knowledge on first aid for young children, or must have taken at least a 20 credit hours course on the subject.
Candidate must have excellent organizational skills, with ability to plan, organize, and multitask with minimal supervision
Candidate must have the ability to stay calm under stressful conditions
Candidate must have an excellent command of English.
Candidate must be reliable, honest, and trustworthy, with good ethical behaviors
