Business Development Supports:
As the Business Development Manager, you will take the lead in developing and executing strategic business plans that supports Gritwel’s overall growth strategy.
You will work to improve the overall market position and achieve financial growth for all Gritwel businesses in Nigeria.
You will implement business development initiatives that will maximize and grow the Gritwel footprint in Nigeria and generate bottom line revenue for the company.
You will oversee the development of marketing literature for the entire Gritwel group businesses in Nigeria.
The following are core duties of this role:
You will locate, propose and generate business opportunities by contacting potential partners and clients; discovering and exploring opportunities.
You will actively lead the efforts to define new business opportunities for all Gritwel group business divisions in Nigeria.
You will prepare and present powerful, persuasive technical / sales presentations and business proposals that effectively demonstrate the value proposition and offerings of the individual business divisions of Gritwel group in Nigeria.
You will screen potential business deals/contracts by analyzing market strategies, contract requirements, business potentials and viability; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities, and finally advice the senior management team on risks/advice for possible investments.
You will follow-up new and existing business opportunities and set up meetings with new and already existing clients.
You will develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with the gritwel company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
Business contracts account management & Communications
You will maintain consistent financial growth by continuously establishing new business contracts / accounts and maintaining already existing ones.
You will create and sustains ongoing forums that will encourage two-way communication opportunities with clients of the individual gritwel businesses; demonstrates and promotes positive prospect, client, and work relationships; proactively addresses and manages conflict and disputes; works to achieve constructive resolution.
Business Development Planning:
You will attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
You will present to and consult with senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels for all gritwel businesses in Nigeria.
You will identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales and revenue for Gritwel.
Using your knowledge of the market and competitors, you will identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Administrative roles:
As the most senior personnel with the gritwel team in Nigeria, you will promote the highest standards of business ethics within the administrative function of the company and strategically ensure the most effective use of resources in support of the company benefits.
Business Financial Resource Management:
You will prepare and submit monthly business/financial reports, typically using the Gritwel standard spreadsheet template for financial reports.
You will prepare and give business reviews and presentations to the senior management team monthly.
Requirements and Skills
Must be at least 30 years of age, and authorized to work in Nigeria.
Candidate must hold educational certificate in Business management with at least 10 years of working experience in a corporate working environment. MBA will be an advantage.
Personal qualifications as required: Emotional maturity, willingness to cooperate with the aims of the program, respect for children and adults, flexibility, patience, good personal hygiene, and physical and mental health which does not interfere with responsibilities; and Must be reliable, honest, and trustworthy, with good ethical behaviors.
Must have excellent organizational and leadership skills, with ability to plan, organize, and multitask with minimal supervision
Requires effective Leadership, interpersonal and oral communication skills for supervisory duties.
Excellent command of English Language is essential
Requires effective writing and oral communication skills to conduct meetings and training sessions, and to prepare reports that are clear, complete, comprehensive, and use good grammar and punctuation;
Successful experience working in a team setting
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Candidate must hold educational certificate in Business management with at least 10 years of working experience in a corporate working environment. MBA will be an advantage.
Minimum Experience:
More than 5 years.
