We are recruiting to fill the vacant position below:
Job Title: Technical Officer - Data Management
Location: Borno
Tasks and Responsibilities
Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
Assist with the implementation of the support function portfolio according to plan of action
Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
Ensure proper filing of documents
Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function.
Specific Responsibilities
Responsible for answering the NRC complaints and feedback telephone and respond in line with agreed standards
Responsible for maintaining NRC complaints and feedback register for the Area Office
Responsible for emptying and register NRC suggestion boxes in Maiduguri Metro
Responsible for collecting field offices weekly reports and enter these into NRC Area Office complaints and feedback register
Responsible for maintaining overview of feedback given and complaints followed up on.
Design tools for data collection
Analyse data from different core competencies and present reports to Programme Development Managers and other stakeholders
Managing data collection staff (enumerators)
Developing and implementing programme databases
Qualifications
At least 2 years’ experience in an international NGO preferably in an emergency or post-conflict setting, including M&E implementation
Thorough experience with and knowledge of principles and current approaches to monitoring and evaluation in relief and development programs, using both quantitative and qualitative methods
Understanding of data and information needs for program management and decision making
High level English language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing), Hausa and other regional languages is an asset
Analytic and computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
Experience using SPSS, STATA, Epi Info, or R
Documented experience from using data analysis tools, including excel
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
