Job Title: Senior Manager, Financial Management & Business
Location: Lagos
Division: Finance
Core Purpose of the Job
To provide overall management and guidance for the provision of financial support for Network Group and Regional operations for continuous and successful Network rollout.
Job Summary
Support the Shareholder return strategy by developing and implementing the Division’s Processes that are aligned to achieving all elements on the business score card.
Participate in the review of Business Processes (headcount, process optimisation etc), to drive efficiency gains.
Participate in Contract negotiations to reduce cost and drive MTNN Value Creation Philosophy
Partner with MTNN’s Ecosystem Partners to deliver business value.
Serve the Division’s internal customers and provide solutions to improve the customer experience.
Drive planned strategy for the successful delivery of transformation initiatives focusing on Customer centricity.
Drive an increase in MTNN’s Net Promoter Score.
Develop short and long term business strategy for the Network Financial Control Division, administering all financial/business planning and resource development supports for Network Group (NWG).
Develop and implement cost optimization strategy for NWG, translating business goals and objectives into NWG budgets.
Design and develop Asset Management and Information System for effective tracking and reporting of network assets.
Develop and control Network Group budget design, ensuring business plan processes are in line with organizational requirements.
Oversee NWG finances using a mix of systems, and best practice operational policies, processes and procedures.
Develop and implement tools, systems and processes for effective financial control.
Provide leadership and manage the financial control team, participating in all NWG high level decision making management meetings.
Act as interface with Finance Department, the board and stakeholders, external/internal parties, on submission and release of budgets and NWG financial activities.
Develop and provide guidelines to all the departments in NWG to effectively manage and control expenditure.
Provide input in the negotiation of all commercial requirements for NWG suppliers’ agreement.
Facilitate Network group Business planning and strategy development
Drive and coordinate cost savings ideas/ initiatives and projects for Network Group
Prepare and present NWG financial management activities and reports, providing effective management information for decision making.
Design and Implement, selected strategic approach towards managing MTNN network assets and ensure Coordination of specifications for appropriate systems and interfaces in the prescribed Asset Management tools
Develop, implement and be the custodian of the Asset Management strategy
Network and build solid relationships with internal units and relevant third parties (e.g. strategic investors, technical and finance partners, business consultants etc.) and develop a close working relationship with relevant information sources to provide an integrated service.
Partner with MTNN’s Ecosystem Partners to deliver business value
Strategic Partnerships with MTNN leadership team to drive awareness on expected behaviours and impact on non-compliance on bottom line results and company image/reputation.
Review the performance of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with the employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules.
Coach and train NWG Financial Control to ensure understanding of the objectives and goals of the department, awareness of set targets/requirements and regularly review their training needs.

Education
First degree in Accounting/Economics or related area of study
A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
MBA is desirable
Experience:
10 years’ work experience including:
Manager track record of 3 years or more; with at least 3 years in relevant sector/ industry
Worked across diverse cultures and geographies advantageous
Experience in implementation of financial systems within a large network roll out environment
Experience in developing and enhancing operational systems to meet existing and future business requirements
