Main Purpose of Job
To provide skilled work in the installation, repair, operation, and maintenance of refrigeration & air conditioning (ac) equipment and systems at various stations of the estate and systems. Repairs faulty refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and plant.
Roles and Responsibilities
What will the jobholder be expected to achieve?:
Install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioner and other air handling units.
Carries out preventive maintenance of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment and systems
Diagnose electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctions.
Install, replace, or repair equipment that has been damaged.
Ventilate equipment and controls making sure they operate efficiently and continuously.
Perform regular maintenance work on cooling units.
Make adjustment and do calibrations of thermostatic controls.
Install new air-conditioning systems and equipment.
Inspect and maintain refrigerators and ice machines, and chilled water supply systems.
Clean blowers and coils, check tensions of belts and motors.
Repairs faulty Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment and Plant.
Carries out routine checks and logs of the status of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment.
To carryout another job assigned by supervisor
Essential Qualifications and Experience
City and Guilds qualified //vocational or technical training(Any evidence of apprenticeship training)
5 years relevant experience with outstanding troubleshooting and technical aptitude
Have knowledge of standards working practices
Understanding of health, safety and environment regulations
Excellent communication skills with a flexible, adaptable approach to working.
Ability to work accurately under pressure and without supervision
Ability to interact well with superiors and subordinates professionally.
