Description
- Responsible for end to end processing, settlement, confirmation, and record keeping of all Foreign Exchange and Money Market Transactions.
- To provide assistance and clarity required to reconcile and investigate all FX/MM related items in Nostro accounts
- Ensure proper tracking of outstanding confirmation for forward deals.
- Assist Head, Financial Markets Operations in implementing changes to internal standards/procedures in line with business development.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement processes and procedures in accordance with approved operations strategy, best practice models and preferred system solutions as appropriate to the ALM and FX business.
- New system testing and verification, and determining appropriate action to be taken in new or unusual circumstances.
- Ensure that all securities used by the ALM book are reconciled daily and no ALM related item is over aged in Nostros.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws & regulations, and that documented procedures are up-to-date at all times.
- Manage relationships between the Financial Markets Operations, Global Markets and GSSC FMO and internal customers to ensure excellent interfaces between sales, trading and operations.
- Ensure all FX/MM deals booked in the bank's system-Opics are duly settled on value dates
- Contribute to and implement detailed testing of disaster recovery contingency plans.
- Match incoming and outgoing confirmations for FX/MM deals.
- Ensure timely settlement of all FX/ALM deals.
- Render timely all regulatory reports required on FX/ALM business to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist the ALM desk by monitoring and reporting timely, all late and failed payments from counter parties.
- Generate Trade Confirmation on or before T+1 and dispatch same in line with procedure
- Track and monitor forward deals and ensure no outstanding confirmation of trades in line with procedure.
- To generate and maintain complete MIS for the department’s activities covering all FX/MM products.
- Ensure compliance by the department with all relevant laws and regulations
- Ensure all MIS for BOLD are tracked and all templates populated monthly. Copied from: www.hotnigerianjobs.com
- Coordinate WDAS utilization report for the bank.
- Ensure all required analysis, statistics and returns are completed accurately and same submitted to the relevant parties timely.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree plus minimum of 5 years experience in banking operations
- In-depth knowledge of Treasury products and local money market practices.
- Sound knowledge of Risk control and reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communications
