IP Engineers at a Technology Driven Company

A Technology Driven company operating in Africa, we require highly motivated and self-driven professionals for the position below in the areas of Marketing, Finance and Network Engineering for our operations in Ghana, Benin Republic, and Senegal:

Job Title: IP Engineer

Locations: Ghana, Benin Republic, and Senegal

Responsibilities

• Execution and configuration of network routers and switches to implement tP/MPLS Network including OSPF, MP-BQP, MPLS, Traffic Engineering and Quality of Service
• Support in designing Core and access IP/MPtS Network infrastructure to support services which include Broadband, Metro Ethernet, Carrier grade and ISP services
• Develop and implement the reliability, availability and Continuity Processes for the IP/MPLS Network and all relates services portfolio
• Investigate incidence and restore any customer, Carrier Grade or ISP services outage or faults.
• Routine preparation and analysis of KPI reports reflecting the state of the IP/MPLS network to the business and other stakeholders.
• Support second and third her escalations for all operational outages to ensure SLA target are met or exceeded

Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering or other related discipline.
• A Postgraduate degree or professional certification's will be an added advantage.

Experience/Competency Required:

• Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in core technical preferably in the Telecommunication industry
• Experience in IP/MPLS Transport Networks for broadband and mobile services
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Hands on experience configuring Alcatel, Cisco and Huawei Routers
• In depth understanding of IP(MPLS networking including routing protocols (BGP BGP-VPN, OSPF, IS-IS) in a service provider environment
• Working knowledge of IP network QoS technology (DiffServ, RSVP, Queuing, and Traffic Policing)
• Working experience and knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Visio, Power Point, dc)
• Possessions of Cisco CCIE or other Network/Security related certifications will be an added advantage
