Federal University Otuoke is one of the nine universities established by the Federal Government on February, 2011, with a mandate to increase access to University education in all the States of the Country, promote quality tertiary education and have a focus on regional issues in education and research.
It is located in Otuoke, Ogbia Local Government Area in Bayelsa State. It commenced academic activities in October 2012, offering courses in the Arts, Social Sciences, Life and Physical sciences, Management Sciences and Faculty of Engineering and Technology

Qualifications
- Candidates should be holders of a Ph.D degree from a recognized University with at least ten (10) years teaching research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution.
- Candidates must possess demonstrable competence to provide academic leadership in a new university with respect to curriculum development and innovation.
- Candidates must also be specialists in core areas of departmental fields of study with evidence or many scholarly publications in both local and international reputable learned journals, plus registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable.
- Recent Ph.D holders and lecturers with strong interest in conducting research in the relevant areas are encouraged to apply.
