Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a large Company in the Oil & Gas sector to recruit a Treasury Manager for its operations in Nigeria
The Treasury Manager will have the responsibility of leading the treasury function within the organisation to ensure that cash assets are used in an efficient and effective manner by ensuring the investor assets and investments are protected and enhanced while playing a key role in the strategic developments and operational activities of the company.
He/she is to report to the Financial Controller
Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this office shall include but is not limited to the following:
The Treasury Manager is responsible for leading the recording, reconciliation and reporting of all treasury functions including receipts, payments and payroll transfers, ensuring appropriate details are retained for audit and managerial control,
Delivery of clear, concise and timely business oriented treasury and cash flow reporting and analysis financial reporting and analysis making quality explanations of business status to the Executive Management team including presentations to the Board
Pro-active monitoring of the treasury processes and giving of advice /taking of appropriate action to avert any fraudulent activities in consultation with the CFO and Financial Controller
Monitoring and report of the risk exposure on Treasury instruments and currency exposure and ensure accurate records within the financial statements
Leading and coordination of ongoing development of treasury reporting systems including the production and development of KPI’s and scorecards to communicate and drive operational performance and efficiency
Responsible for the internal and external reporting and presentation of the monthly and quarterly treasury information forming part of the finance pack
Management of key interfaces between business and stakeholders ensuring active and efficient relationships
Leading and coordinating the ongoing development of policies and procedures for the reporting systems
Pro-actively supporting a culture where safety and the environment are priority within all levels of the Company
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor or a Master’s degree in Finance/Banking or Accounting. MBA being a plus
Minimum of 15 years experience in a business facing position with extensive treasury experience preferable within the Energy Services sector of an EPC contractor
Must be able to produce and interpret treasury and non-treasury and non-financial management information, providing content and insight to aid the decision making and create the efficiencies, solving complex problems
Must be able to build financial schedules and complex financial models to evaluate plans
Must have excellent interpersonal relationship skills and possess a track record of building relationships and communication across a diverse group of cross functional teams and cultures with the ability to create and manage the right tensions in order to achieve target performance
Must have he ability to develop staff and deliver projects
Previous experience in working in Africa would be a plus
