Job Description
- The Health, Nutrition, and Population Global Practice aims to accelerate progress toward universal health coverage so that by 2030 no one will be tipped into or kept in poverty because of expenditures on health care, and the poorest 40 percent of the population will have access to the quality health, nutrition, and population services they need.
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in positions of increasing complexity and responsibility in Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) and global health systems.
- Advanced Degree (Masters or PhD) in a relevant field; ideally Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Economics, Health Financing, Or Health Management, Health Services Administration, Epidemiology, Demography, Sociology, Business Administration, etc.
- Possesses strong expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Health systems, public health, nutrition and/or population.
- Public health program management, monitoring and evaluation, and operations research.
- Service delivery sector diagnostics & market analysis
- Provider & market regulation
- Health PPP strategy, implementation & partnership management. Public-private collaboration for public health initiatives (e.g. food fortification, professional accreditation, self-regulation, disease surveillance)
- Planning & strategy for mixed services and product delivery
- Regulation and reimbursement within pharmaceutical markets
- Mixed health system data analysis and program/ project monitoring metrics
- Health financing arrangements for private and mixed service and product delivery
- Pharmaceutical/medical technology purchasing and/or supply chain logistics
- Health reforms and implementation
- Demonstrated experience in fostering innovative approaches to meet challenges of availability, quality and/or affordability.
- Candidate must have at least 8 years work experience.
- Ideal candidates for this position must have a demonstrated capacity for strategic thinking, the ability to conduct dialogue on relevant development policies and priorities, and be fluent in English with very good writing and communication skills.
